Students/Faculty

The University of Pittsburgh creates an environment that supports enrichment opportunities for students and professional development for faculty and staff. Any prospective student or faculty member considering Pitt will benefit from an environment where diversity is visible, thriving, and supported.

We invite high school students to experience the creative life of the mind that is inspired by scientific inquiry and discovery - all in the tradition of excellence at the University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences. Join with the Office of Science Education Outreach, Health Sciences, in understanding How Science Works!

High School Students

For high school students, we suggest you investigate the resources we researched for you.

Undergraduate Students

The University of Pittsburgh supports undergraduate students through academic advising, collaborative learning workshops, mentoring, and committees that work to serve and to address concerns. Undergraduate student resources also include campus organizations and enrichment programs.

Graduate & Professional Students

We encourage currently enrolled graduate and professional students should begin their search for resources within the Student Affairs Office of their respective school. Support resources for graduate and professional students can vary by school and/or department.

Faculty & Trainees

The Office works with faculty members and trainees to advance faculty diversity as well as to enhance faculty development programs and policies. We seek to create a culture where faculty members can succeed and be a thriving force in the fabric of the institution.

Professional Development

The University of Pittsburgh is committed to supporting the professional development of faculty, postdoctoral associates, trainees, and clinical fellows.  Read more about resources for professional development opportunities.
