2023 University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences Social Justice Education Summit 

Welcome! The University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences Social Justice Education Summit seeks to serve as a space to engage in the how-to and the best-of for co-creating learning for inclusive and equitable campus-community engagement practice. The Summit explores conjoining a culture of health and empowerment activism through substantive community oriented collaborative engagements. The Social Justice Education Summit will take place on February 28, 2023 from 10 am to 4 pm. The summit is free, open to the public, and virtual. RSVPs have closed for the 2023 Summit.

By inviting Universities and community entities who engage in | seek to engage in campus-community initiatives, we hope through the Summit, to share ways to disrupt the usual practice and status quo pathways often reflected in these partnerships. What do universities need to know as they form these opportunities, and how might programs underscore social justice, lifting up the why on the need to do this type of thinking and engagement as we embark on campus-community relationship building through university initiatives.
